Landguard Fort Heritage Open Day – Free Entry

For centuries, fortifications here controlled and protected the only deep water port on the east coast between the Humber and Thames. Guarding the all-important entrance to Harwich harbour at the mouth the Rivers Orwell and Stour, Landguard Fort played a vital role in defending Britain. Amazingly, so much of it still remains intact.

Family Drop-in Activity – Woven Darns

This activity opportunity runs alongside Clare’s exhibition at Felixstowe Museum - ‘Self/Contained’, an exhibition of work featuring a series of ten textile collages which explore issues of sustainability and waste through their depictions of the Port of Felixstowe, which dominates the Museum’s location.
