Cold War Heritage Week

Landguard Fort is pleased to announce that we will be a participating site in the inaugural Cold War National Heritage Week, taking place from 16th – 23rd May 2025. This national initiative brings together historic locations across the UK to highlight Britain’s Cold War past through education, collaboration, and public engagement. The event will offer visitors a unique opportunity to explore the impact of the Cold War on Britain and the hidden histories behind key defence sites. At Landguard Fort, visitors will gain insight into our Cold War role in Britain’s coastal defences through our Rooftop Tour experience.

An evening tour, when the fort is normally closed to visitors so normal admission charges will not apply.
