Opening Times & Tickets

Landguard is a destination in its own right, comprising a wide range of attractions. It includes the impressive Grade 1 listed Landguard Fort and the fascinating Felixstowe Museum which both have seasonal opening times and make a charge for admission, with great value joint ticketing also available. Landguard Fort is also open for a number of popular ticketed events out-of-season.

LANDGUARD FORT  – Opening Times & Book Tickets

Landguard Fort tickets include a free audio tour around the site.

March 29th until November 2nd 2025
Thursday – Sunday during term time
Every day (during school holidays & Bank Holiday Mondays)
10am to 5pm (last admission 3pm)

Tickets can either be booked in advance or purchased on arrival

Adults £7.50
Concessions (Over 65 & Students with a Student ID Card) £6.80
Children (5-17 years) £4.50 – Children (under 5 years) Free
Carers (assisting companions of disabled members or visitors) – Free
English Heritage members, CADW, Historic Scotland and Manx National Heritage members with valid membership card – Free (unless ‘special event’ pricing applies)

Landguard Fort & Felixstowe Museum – Joint Ticket Prices

These tickets can only be purchased at the ticket offices from either Landguard Fort or Felixstowe Museum. These allow the holder to visit both the Fort and Museum and can be used anytime during the season in which they are purchased.

FELIXSTOWE MUSEUM – Opening Times & Ticket Information

 

Felixstowe Museum is THE museum for Felixstowe and the surrounding area.

April 4th until November 2nd 2025
Thursday – Sunday & Bank Holiday Mondays
11am to 5pm (last entry 4pm)

Museum Entry: Adults £5.00, Children £1.00, Under 5 years free
English Heritage Members (showing a valid membership card) : £4.00

Tickets are available for purchase at the museum ticket office only

THE VIEW POINT

The View Point includes a visitor centre with displays and videos, a 60 seater café and public toilets. Please note that the cafés are now cashless businesses, so payment is by card.

The View Point Café – Open Daily 9am – 4pm

View Point Kiosk (located in car park) – Open summer season, subject to weather

The Harwich Harbour Ferry – Daily Service April – Oct

Departs directly from the beach. Operation subject to safe conditions
