Frankie goes to Felixstowe

This ‘Remembering the 1980s’ display was a post-pandemic temporary exhibition. It featured exhibits ranging from Pac-Man to Live-Aid and provided an opportunity to question what exactly ‘belongs’ in a museum. It also prompted people to look a little harder at the objects they have at home.

The 1980s display was curated to include loans from individuals and organisations across the town of Felixstowe.

One reason why the display proved so engaging perhaps, was its familiarity.

Whilst many younger visitors enjoyed marvelling at just how much has changed, others took the opportunity to relive their youth!
