Beadlet anemone

Beadlet anemone are typically dark red but can also be green or orange. Here at Landguard you might find then attached to the rocks of the groynes. When the tide is in, and they are submerged they display their tentacles arranged in six circles. Out of water, they retract their tentacles and resemble blobs of jelly.
