Join the Landguard Fort Volunteer Team — Help Bring History to Life

Step behind the scenes at Landguard Fort this Bank Holiday Monday!
Join us on Monday 25th May for our Volunteer Open Day and discover what it’s really like to volunteer across the Landguard site, including Landguard Fort, the neighbouring Nature Reserve, and Felixstowe Museum.
This unique area is packed with history, wildlife, and heritage, and there are plenty of ways to get involved – from welcoming visitors and sharing local history, to helping conserve the site and supporting events and activities.
Come along, meet current volunteers, explore the different sites, and find out more about the opportunities available. Whether you’re looking to meet new people, learn new skills, or give something back to the community, we’d love to welcome you.
As a thank you, anyone who signs up to volunteer on the day will receive FREE entry to the fort and a trip to the roof.
Whatever your skills there’s a place for you.
