Fundraising for Felixstowe Museum: The Suffolk Coast Journey




Mark Copley, Manager of Felixstowe Museum, is raising funds for the museum through a sponsored walk along the Suffolk Coast.

Mark has recently moved to Suffolk for the new job, and will be using the walk to explore the wonderful coastline for the first time. He is also looking forward to discovering other fantastic Suffolk museums along the way. Social Media will highlight the cultural and natural heritage we have on our doorstep. Through the JustGiving platform, Individuals will be able to sponsor him for a mile, or for a higher sponsorship, he will perform a fun task!

    Saturday 11 July.
    Travel to Lowestoft.

    Felixstowe Museum is open from Easter to 2 November, Thursday to Sunday, 11am to 5pm.

    The museum tells the story of Felixstowe, including its naval, RAF and social histories. Felixstowe History and Museum Society (Charity No. 1196598) operates the museum with a paid manager and over 50 volunteers.

    Felixstowe Museum is based in the last remaining Submarine Mining Establishment in the world, built in 1878 as part of Landguard Fort. 100 years later, the Society was founded and opened the museum for the first time in 1982.
