Learn the art of ‘Honeycomb Darning’ and using the repair of clothes as a beautiful badge of honour – a drop-in session suitable for adults, led by Clare Sams, the first Environmentalist in Residence at Suffolk Libraries.

This activity opportunity runs alongside Clare’s exhibition at Felixstowe Museum – ‘Self/Contained’, an exhibition of work featuring a series of ten textile collages which explore issues of sustainability and waste through their depictions of the Port of Felixstowe, which dominates the Museum’s location.
The environment is at front and centre throughout the exhibition, with reused textiles and building materials, and low impact interpretation. The exhibition space will be creatively dressed by Clare, encouraging visitors to look at their own habits and the impact they have.
