1945-1956

A time of down-scaled Haven defences with only key installations maintained. Operations in Left Battery co-ordinate six local anti-aircraft batteries (re-sited to Mistley, 1953). Twin 6-pounder guns in Darell’s Battery remain in service, modified in 1948 to enable anti-aircraft fire.
