Collecting Flowers is Illegal
Don't Pick the Flowers
Collecting flowers from the Nature Reserve is not permitted – it is illegal.
Picking wildflowers on a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) is not allowed. SSSIs are protected areas designated for their unique flora, fauna, or geological features, and removing plants, including wildflowers, can harm these sensitive ecosystems.
The Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 provides legal protection for many species of wild plants and picking them from an SSSI without permission is illegal.
It’s always best to enjoy wildflowers in their natural habitat without picking them.
